Very nice hotel in a new building, good and helpfull stuff, located in 5-10 minutes distance from airport (by taxi is 6-7 Euros) but not so close, thus it does not disturb. Porto Monizh is a nice city with a traditional Madeira atmosphere.
Breakfast might be better, but quite low price for the room and all other advantages compensate this disadvantage. Problems with parking near the hotel: no privat parking area and all around are overloaded paid parkings, so it is a little bit nervous especially if you have rented car.
the nice smille in everyone faces ehehehhe and the privacy that we had...
only one lool the only thing that miss in the hotel its a swmimg pool loool
excellent reception, warm welcome, good location. We enjoyed our stay very much and did some local walks.
The Hotel staff is very pleasant and everything is very clean.
The last 2 years I have been booking different hotels with bookings.com, but this quality/price was the best ever. Modern, new, clean and cheap. I stayed there 1 night, as the idea was to have the first night cheap and then the second night we went to a 5 star hotel (3 times more expensive) and after all me and my girlfriend liked the white waters more!
location and nice room
no air conditioning and night club opposite.no sleep at all.its a shame but we should be told about the unbelievable noise.dont stay there at weekends its unbearable !!!!!
Would strongly recomend this hotel for stays Monday to Thursday. It's in a nice location, the staff are very attentive and hospitable. Very clean, good standard for a three star B & B.
The noise levels on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights were unbearable, due to the nightclub over the road, that starts at half twelve and finished around seven in the morning. The lack of air con in the hotel bedrooms means that it is impossible to keep your window closed at night, but then you can't sleep due to the noise regardless. This is why room rates are cheaper at the weekend. Also the hotel's tea garden is taken over by the local youths to drink, smoke and play poker during the evening, so it is not really frequented by hotel guests, it's a shame because it could be a nice relaxing space.
Nice central location
Air condition service in room not available
The hotel was very clean & fresh staff spoke English & helpful. The breakfast was fresh lots of choice to eat. The area was quiet
This is an excellent place to be. The Hotel is in fact more a four than a three star hotel. Very stylish and modern furniture; free and fast internet wit lan cable in every room (!!!), modern flat - tv, very friendly and helpful reception. I cant praise it enough. Add to that the new sand beach in machico and the good bus connections for your walks, and you can enjoy perfect holidays.
as probably usual in madeira, you have some noise from the traffic. but its not nearly as terrible as in funchal, and its over after 11 o'clock.
Stayed in this hotel again on our way home - again a great place to stay. Our room this time was smaller but it ws clean, modern and comfortable. Great place and wold definately come again.
excellent small hotel. friendly staff good food comfortable beds and beautiful scenery. highly recommended.
This hotel was beautiful and very nicely designed. The beds were comfortable and all the detailing was modern. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is close to the airport and in a lovely quaint town - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We were upgraded to the Penthouse for one night, it's really a good option if you want to enjoy the seaside or the mountains nearby with your friends or your family.
Good base to visit the East of Madeira. Close to airport. Excellent cafe downstairs. We did not try any hot dishes in their restaurant, but their salads were rather smallish. Friendly owners. Free wifi.
Breakfast was poor. A shame that they did not serve the excellent coffee from their bar or some of their cakes -- you have to pay extra to get a decent cup (which we did - much better than the "coffee" they served at breakfast). Parking space: to park in the streets of Machico you have to pay (everywhere), but you can leave your car during the night until 8 am. The hotel offers an underground parking. Be careful because it's a difficult one to get in and out (very steep with difficult turns). During the day you hear and see the airplanes landing nearby; never during the night. In the evenings there's some noise from the street. We did not stay during the weekend so the disco opposite the hotel was closed.
